Malaria infection is still one of the major causes of deaths in the African continent and Zambia in particular. As a result, TDRC has prioritised malaria in its research in order to generate evidence to support the national agenda of malaria elimination. In this regard, TDRC conducts epidemiological, entomological and clinical trials to understand better the burden of malaria, evaluate the impact of malaria control measures being implemented and strengthen malaria product development respectively.
For this reason, TDRC, was one of the major stakeholders that took part in the Copperbelt Provincial commemoration of the World Malaria Day held in Luanshya, under the Theme: Advancing Health Equity, Gender Equality and Human Rights. The event was officiated by the Hon. Minister of Copperbelt Province Elisha Matambo.
